ATLANTA – (AP) A lawyer for Bob Whitfield's ex-wife said Sheree Whitfield has dismissed her appeal seeking alimony because the former Atlanta Falcon has blown his fortune.Michael Weinstock said before the Georgia Supreme Court that Whitfield hasn't paid any child support for his two children.Bob Whitfield's lawyer, Chistopher Olmstead, said Monday that 38-year-old Sheree Whitfield, a star of the TV reality show "Real Housewives of Atlanta," should pay penalties for bringing a frivolous appeal.Weinstock said the appeal was legitimate but that it is now irrelevant because Bob Whitfield is broke.Whitfield is 37 and played for the Falcons for 12 years before retiring in 2007. He married Sheree Whitfield in June 2000 and separated three years later. She filed for divorce in 2005.
