Kanye on how he got into making beats“First beat I did was in seventh grade, on my computer. I got into doing beats for the video games I used to try to make. My game was very sexual. The main character was, like, a giant penis. It was like Mario Brothers, but the ghosts were, like, vaginas. Mind you, I’m 12 years old, and this is stuff 30-year-olds are programming. You’d have to draw in and program every little step—it literally took me all night to do a step, ’cause the penis, y’know, had little feet and eyes.”
Kanye West on his drive“People ask me a lot about my drive. I think it comes from, like, having a sexual addiction at a really young age. Look at the drive that people have to get sex—to dress like this and get a haircut and be in the club in the freezing cold at 3 A.M., the places they go to pick up a girl. If you can focus the energy into something valuable, put that into work ethic . . . ”
Kanye on losing his fanbaseThis game’s pass or fail. There’s no Bs, Cs, Ds. Either you bricked or you won, and this product’s gonna be an A. Fans out there don’t like it, ’cause of their own snobbery or instant rejection of Auto-Tune? Kanye West covers the March issue of Details magazine and says some pretty interesting things about music, his sexual addiction and the perception of gays. I don’t know why but I love to hear this man talk, and love reading his interviews even more. Here are a few excerpts:

Muzzammil Hassan, 44, is charged with 2nd degree murder in the brutal beheading of his wife Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. The murder took place on Thursday (2/12) in the Orchard Park office of their company, Bridges TV.
The NPR (National Public Radio) profiled the Hassans in 2004. They talked about starting “A new cable network for Muslim-Americans” after 9/11 to “inform and entertain Muslims and, at the same time, give viewers who aren’t Muslims a glimpse into” their culture.
They described traveling from Buffalo to Detroit a few weeks after the September 11th terrorist attacks, and came up with the idea for the new network after hearing some “derogatory remarks about Muslims” on the car radio.
The couple separated last year and police say the victim had an order of protection against her estranged husband.
The murder weapon was not recovered.

Indian gossip website DesiHits.com was the first to report the Paper Planes hitmaker, who performed on her due date at the Grammy Awards (08Feb09), gave birth to a baby boy on 12 February (09).
In a recent interview, the singer/rapper revealed she thought her child would be a boy, stating, “It doesn’t matter to me if it’s a boy or a girl. If it’s a girl she will be a tough girl, but I think I may have a boy because I have a pointy stomach.”M.I.A., real name Maya Arulpragasam, was so worried about going into labour at the Grammys, she had an ambulance, stretcher and golf cart on standby - and her fiance Benjamin Brewer used a stopwatch to time her contractions shortly after she came off stage following her performance with Jay-Z, T.I, Lil Wayne and Kanye West.
The baby’s dad, Ben Brewer, is the biracial son of Edgar Bronfman Jr., CEO of Warner Music Group, who comes from one of the wealthiest Jewish families in Canada.
Bronfman Jr.’s marriage to Brewer’s black mother, Sherry Brewer, was a source of contention between Edgar Jr. and his dad, Edgar Bronfman Sr., the wealthy heir to the Seagrams liquor fortune.
Bronfman Sr., considered by some to be racist, wrote in his memoirs:
“I very much wanted for him to end the relationship, because I told him, all marriages are difficult enough without the added stress of totally different backgrounds. Sherry offered to convert [to Judaism], which though well intentioned, was not the point.”
Edgar Jr. and Sherry had two more children before divorcing in 1991.
